    Job Description:

    ESCO Technicians report to an assigned Project Manager, installing fire alarm and security (CCTV, door access, etc.) systems in the healthcare, commercial, education and government markets. It is the job of ESCO’s fire alarm and security technicians to ensure that these life safety systems are running optimally. These individuals bridge the gap between people and technology.

    Continued education such as systems/industry training and certification courses are available to all technicians with zero out-of-pocket expenses. A passion for technology, electronics and/or computer systems, as well as an eagerness to learn are important characteristics for this entry level position.

    Responsibilities & Expectations:

    • Supports, monitors, tests and troubleshoots software/hardware for fire alarm and security systems
    • Organizes, manages and leads technical system design discussions
    • Develops system integration plans using multiple vendor products
    • Performs system analysis in order to best evaluate performance and reliability of a system
    • Writes reports to describe and illustrate system’s operating characteristics, deviations from design specifications, and functional limitations
    • Adapts well to changing circumstances or conditions in the field
    • Pursues career development opportunities such as training and certification courses
    • Maintains a professional attitude and appearance at all times
    • Keeps a clean and organized work environment
    • Adheres to all ESCO policies in regard to dress code, safety, attendance, etc.


    • High School diploma (2-year degree preferred)
    • 3-4 years’ experience in fire alarm installation and/or service
    • Experience with micro-processor based systems, PC/server based systems, data networking
    • NICET Level II or higher
    • Valid driver’s license
    • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
    • Ability to stoop, balance, climb and work on a ladder, stand, walk, sit

    Preferred Qualifications:
    (Holding one or more if the following certifications/qualifications is a plus, but not a requirement)

    • Degree in Information Systems Technology or related field
    • Net + (or higher)
    • A +
    • CTS, CTS-I, CTS-D
    • MCSA
    • CCNA
