    Summary:   Provides technical sales support for internal and external customers, designs and estimates for systems and services offered.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    • Supports Sales by communicating with customers, engineers, architects, or other professional and technical personnel about aspects of products or services offered.

    • Reviews blueprints, plans, and other customer documents to design systems, develop and prepare cost estimates.

    • Create accurate, competitive estimates for sales associates.

    • Delivers technical presentations.

    • Responds to technical questions and objections as well as business concerns.

    • Performs system design, visits customer sites, and conducts walk-through of project sites during joint design process.

    • Occasionally will assist in providing technical services to clients relating to use, operation, and maintenance of equipment.

    • Provides technical training to ESCO sales staff.


    • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills, including ability to communicate at technical and non-technical levels.

    • Basic understanding of local and wide area networks.

    • Extensive technical knowledge of specifically assigned systems.

    • Ability to work independently, manages multiple priorities, and follows through on projects.

    Physical Demands

    While performing duties of this job, employee is required to stand, stoop, balance, use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

    Education and/or Experience:

    • NICET Level III or above (Level IV preferred)
    • Three – five years of direct industry experience in the field
    • Physical Security experience a plus (CCTV, Access Control, etc)
    • A.S. EET Required or equivalent experience
    • B.S EET preferred

    Computer Skills:

    • Microsoft Office – Outlook, Excel, and Word; Visio and/or Office 365 experience a plus

    • Basic AutoCAD Skills (FireCAD experience preferred)

    • Bluebeam experience a plus
